Birthday Card Using the Country Floral Embossing Folder

I was inspired to make this card by an Australian Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Donna Gray. I ordered the country floral embossing folder from the Sale a Bration promotion. I loved what Donna had done to create a bright and beautiful summer card.

I made the base card using whisper white 10″ x 6 3/8, score in the centre, fold and burnish. Cut and glue a piece of coastal cabana card 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 on top. Cut whisper white to 4 1/4 x 6 to use the embossing folder and put through your die cutting machine. Glue the embossed card onto the coastal cabana card.

I coloured the card using sponge dauber’s dabbed into the ink and sponged onto the raised part of the card. I used flirty flamingo and lovely lipstick for the flowers and coastal cabana and soft sea foam for the leaves.

Using coordinating ribbon I adhered a strip to the card using tear tape. I stamped a sentiment using the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set ( I eventually found my happy birthday stamp which had stuck itself to a catalogue!), and punched out using the story label punch.

I die cut a couple of stamped leaves(using mossy meadow ink) from the four season framelit dies and painted season dies. I covered them with matching velum leaves and glued behind the sentiment. Using dimensionals I stuck the sentiment to the card.

This was a fun card to make and I was very happy with the result. Thank you Donna for the inspiration xx
