Easy Handmade Gift Box

I made this very simple box using the Forever Lovely stamp set with the coordinating All My Love designer series paper (DSP) and lovely lipstick card stock.

You will need a piece of A4 card – trim off 5 cm along the long side and 3.5 cm along the short side, so that your card now measures 26 cm x 16 cm.

Along the long edge make a fold line at 6 cm and 12 cm and burnish along both folds.

Turn the card around and make a fold line at 6 cm, 12 cm, 18 cm and 24 cm, then fold and burnish along each fold line.

Along the bottom edge cut 6 cm up to the fold line on each 6 cm square. This will be the base of the box.

At the top of the card mark the centre point of each rectangle, this should be 3cm. Using a circular object score a semi circle from the edge of the rectangle to the centre point. Repeat this on each rectangle.

Decorate the outside of the box using 5.5 cm squares. This would also be a good time to add other decorations such as the fussy cut hearts and sentiments stamped onto punched circles, I used the 1 3/4″ & 2″ punch.

Glue the tab and create the shape of the box. Glue each layer of the base of the box.

Cut 2 squares 3.5 cm by 3.5 cm and then cut across the middle to make 2 triangles. Glue these to the top of the box ensuring that the point of the triangle sits on the fold line.

Fill your box with treats and gently close the top into place adding a heart on the top.
